"As an Interior designer, I like to present at least three sources to my clients when doing custom work. When seeking a wine cellar craftsman for my client, they selected Savante not because they were the least expensive, but because they were the most innovative and suggested using old barrels to create the racking. The racks were fumed and have a beautiful patina as well as being 'green'. My clients and I are so happy with the finished cellar."

The Gilpin Room

The custom wine cellar door in quarter sawn white oak, featuring the family's crest in stained glass, welcomes you to the remodeled basement space featuring stave oak racking from silver oak wine barrels.

Lasered numbers identify placement of each bottle of the prized collection. The "old world" cellar feel, is brightened by the lighting features highlighting the wall, ceiling and floor materials chosen to fit inside original turn of the century home. The room also features a wine barrel head countertop, with the purple side up and ample case storage on the lower left side.

The Axton Room

Gothic stave diamonds accent the reclaimed wine barrel staves in this room that features a reclaimed wine barrel head counter top in purple wine stain. Steam bent stave curved corners allow the mirrored left and right side to flow together towards the center decanting area that displays featured bottles in a waterfall racking style. The storied bottles frame the homeowners mountain scene photograph, an imperative for the cellar during the design process.

This cellar's waist height display row envelopes the whole room premiering the collectors best and most beautiful vintages. The curves and labels are distinguished and illuminated with LED lighting strategically placed to illuminate excess heat in the room to preserve the wine aging correctly.

The Stedman Room

Floor-to-ceiling barrels staves racks fill this small space to create a unique home for this family's growing collection. LED lighting highlights the lower centered display rows underneath a coopered wine barrel countertop decanting area as well as the outermost curve of the side walls. A fauxed wall vineyard scene warms the space with an authentic feel. A combination of diamond storage below compliment the display rows above, on either side.

The Walberg Room

This unique space features Savante's horizontal stave wave racking design in a crescendo-ed wave of bottles that allows for a more dense arrangement, maximizing storage. Display rows prominently feature large format bottles at the back wall and above the Gothic diamonds, a commissioned painting artistically embodies one of the many vineyards the family has visited in Europe.

Lighting placement above the painting brings the misty vineyard morning to life. Reclaimed wine barrel pieces are on full display in this room that also features a decanting area under the painting with purple side up barrel staves.
